Site home PC Pop Japan show some interesting slides of the latest graphics card ATI Radeon HD 4770 will come with the 40nm chip manufacturing, the ATI as a leader in the competition against NVIDIA. Based on the specifications described on the site, Radeon HD 4770 (RV470) will most likely be working faster than NVIDIA 9800GT, and the victory also gained from the price range at $ 99, which means a lower price compared to the 9800GT which is now between $ 119 to $ 139. VGA is the glint of its processing chip that is using the 40nm manufacturing so that it can accommodate more transistor in the total is 826 million, proportionate 9800GT still using the 65nm and 55nm manufacturing. Additionally Radeon HD 4770 provides GDDR5 memory faster, but unfortunately the amount of video memory (frame buffer size) have provided a new 512 MB, the process of reaching 960 GLOPs, clock speed at 750 MHz and memory clock of 800 MHz using the memory bus 128 -bit, and power consumption about 80 watts.

DirectX 10 vs. DirectX 10.1

VGA has been further surpass 9800GT with support for DirectX 10.1. But whether such an increase carried the latest version is DirectX? From the diagram in the slide by AMD, there are PC games Stalker: Clear Sky as a benchmark. Setting the screen resolution at 1920x1200 with DirectX 10.1 patch the FPS (Frame per Second) almost reached 40. Slightly better than the DirectX 10 is only able to achieve 36 FPS. In addition, light and shadow effects to be more realistic rendering techniques with the min / max shadow map for the latest high-quality light touch on the surface of an object.

NVidia Intend Production Self x86 CPU

Nvidia seems to intend to produce its own x86 processor, and perhaps it's time they started doing this because Intel has begun to assume nVidia as competitors for the Larrabee product will come next year and prohibit nVidia to make chipsets for Intel Nehalem.

Gossip that nVidia secretly develop its own x86 chip has been circulating since 2006 but this time the truth has been confirmed by nVidia themselves. At the Morgan Stanley Technology Conference, nVidia VP Mike Hara indicates that they consider the development of the x86 CPU to the mobile equipment in two years.

Based on what is said Hara, Nvidia seems to be designing products Soc (system on a chip) that is similar to the Tegra, but with their own x86 CPU combination replaces ARM processor + GPU.

Why is Nvidia doing this? Because as said Jon Peddie, system design IGP (Integrated Graphics Processor) will ultimately die, replaced by the draft design in which the GPU is no longer placed on the chipset but combined with the main processor. IGP nVidia business segment is a very large, and of course they do not want to lose this source of income when the Intel GPU to resemble in all mobile x86 processor.

AMD Phenom Processor release II x4 42 BE TWKR 7GHz

AMD has released limited edition special processor designed to overclocking heavy. Processor is the name given II x4 Phenom 42 Black Edition TWKR, a new chip-based AMD Phenom II series support and high voltage, is also capable of running at a higher frequency. Chip is designed to handle the extreme performance and high speed operation. Overclocking, including clock speed of the chip outside the factory settings, often used to support the request for task performance computing high.
While overclocking can increase the CPU performance, overclocking can also cut the age of the chip and increase the risk of overheating the processor. For example, many system overclocking using the extra refrigerator, and use some ultra-cold liquid, such as nitrogen and liquid helium. Meanwhile, the AMD processor TWKR will offer for sale in the public, and will also be distributed to 100 experts selected overclocking. AMD expects that the chip II x4 Phenom 42 Black Edition TWKR will add this line Phenom II and a new performance record.

According to the expert who has received the chip, such as that of incalculable blog Overclockersclub.Com, processor Phenom x4 42 II Black Edition TWKR has 2Ghz speed, and estimated range 7GHz will support under certain conditions. "It is amazing that engineer AMD processor is able to create without the bug." As written in the blog.
